Data and privacy

Where the data comes from

From the registers published by the distribution operators (Distribuție Energie Electrică România, Distribuție Oltenia, Rețele Electrice and Delgaz Grid), the register of grid permit holders published by the Government, Transelectrica's grid permit status list, the ANRE licence register, and ANAF for company data. Prices and generation come from ENTSO-E. We don't correct other people's figures: if a row is wrong at the source, it is wrong here too, and the correction is made there.

Data updates

Project pages are rebuilt with every new edition of a source. Day-ahead prices and generation come in daily. The date of the last check is written on every project page.

Holders' names

The holder and its tax ID are shown on a project page once you unlock it, with a subscription. They are public data, from the Government list; what you pay for is finding them pieced together with the other registers. Without an account you see the project, not who holds it.

Estimates

Generation and revenue on a project page are calculations, not offers: the county's specific yield from PVGIS (European Commission) for solar, the actual full-load hours of the national fleet for wind, and each technology's captured day-ahead price over the last 12 months. A real project depends on its contract, land and connection cost, which the registers don't show.

Asking prices

When a project is put up for sale, the price is the owner's asking price. It is not our valuation and we have not verified it.

Unlocked project page

The holder and its ANAF data, the connection substation, competition at the substation, estimated generation and revenue, comparable projects and the register history. Capacity, county, technology and permit stage are visible to anyone, without an account.

Photographs

They are stock images, chosen by technology, and do not show the project on the page. The registers don't publish photographs. When a seller uploads their own images, these replace them.

Your data

Your account keeps your name, email and company. Saved projects and sent requests remain yours and you can delete them from your dashboard. Visits to a project page are counted as a total, without recording who opened it. We don't sell data and we don't use advertising trackers.

Documents sent for the verified profile

If you request the verified-profile badge, you send us a Trade Register certificate and, where needed, a power of attorney. We read them, decide, and then delete them from disk, not just from the database. We keep only the outcome and the date. A document kept for years is a liability with no benefit.

Data we process

If you have an account: your name, email address, password hash and the company you act for. If your company is Romanian or from the EU, we also keep what the public registers say about it: ANAF, VIES, ANRE. If you use the marketplace: your claims, contact requests, messages, followed projects and, where you enter a data room, which document you opened and when. If you write to us through the contact form: your name, email, company and message, so we can reply; the message goes to our email inbox and is not stored on the site.

On what legal basis

Your account and access to the marketplace: performance of the contract between us. Matching your tax ID against the registers: also performance of the contract, since without it you cannot claim or list. Aggregating public registers and the data-room log: our legitimate interest, and that of the seller who wants to know who read their documents. Limiting sign-in attempts: the legitimate interest in protecting the service. For promotional emails we would ask for your separate consent; we don't send any today.

Retention

Your account, for as long as you have it. Claims, listings and requests: for the duration of the relationship, then five years, in case anyone disputes what happened. The data-room log: five years from the close of the transaction. The confidentiality undertaking: five years from the last access granted under it, since that is how long the obligation lasts.

Who we share it with

Nobody, for commercial purposes. Only those who keep the service running touch it: our hosting provider (Hetzner, Finland), our email sender (Brevo) and our payment processor (Stripe). All within the European Union or under a valid transfer framework. Your name reaches another company on the platform only if YOU send a contact request and the other party accepts it.

Your rights

To see what data we hold about you. To have it corrected. To have it deleted. To object to processing based on our legitimate interest. To receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Write to contact@wattsplaza.ro and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).

Deleting your account

The account is deleted. Marketplace records remain, but no longer linked to you — deleting a claim would take someone else's request and data room with it, and your right is not exercised by erasing someone else's evidence. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.

If your name appears here and you gave us nothing

Holders from public registers

Because it appears in a public register. The Romanian Government publishes the list of holders of grid connection permits, with name and tax ID. ANRE publishes the licence register. We take them as they are and piece them together so they can be seen in one place. We don't alter them and we add nothing of our own.

Personal data

When the holder is a company, its name and tax ID are not personal data but the details of a legal person. When the holder is a sole trader or a private individual, they are personal data, and this notice is addressed to you.

Use

We show them in the list of holders and on the project page, as part of an overall picture of the energy pipeline. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in making already-public information accessible. We don't use them for marketing and we don't sell them.

Your rights

To object. If you write to contact@wattsplaza.ro and tell us which row concerns you, we remove it from the public pages. Figures, however, are corrected at the source: if a row is wrong in the Government register, it is wrong here too, and we have no right to rewrite it.
